Atlantic Canada map Atlantic Canada video

Atlantic Canada is the majestic east coast, the most eastern part of North America and an area bursting with history and culture, spectacular scenic landscapes, marine life and quaint seaside towns. Made up of four vibrant Atlantic Provinces; Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador, and Prince Edward Island, Atlantic Canada is the perfect spot for a fly-drive holiday.

Nova Scotia is Atlantic Canada's most popular and vibrant province, and home of the bustling port city of Halifax. The history surrounding this area is enchanting and a must is a visit to Pier 21, Canada's Museum of Immigration where 1.5million immigrants from Europe, Britain and Ireland passed through from 1928-71 seeking new lives and grand opportunities in Canada.

Take a trip to Peggy's Cove Coastal Region just 30-minutes drive from Halifax on Nova Scotia's Bluenose Coast, dubbed by the locals as Mother Nature's Playground. Encompassing the shores of the lovely St. Margaret's Bay, walk around and discover the scenic coves, harbour and natural beauty, and enjoy a whole host of outdoor and water activities on offer.

For spectacular scenery and natural wonders, head to New Brunswick. A visit to the Bay of Fundy will reward you with the world's highest tides, breathtaking coastline and endless adventure. The Bay of Fundy tides are best observed at the Hopewell Rocks, where you walk around the famous 'flowerpot rocks' at low tide, and then slowly watch them disappear as the tide swallows them.

The Acadian joie de vivre is infectious and you will find yourself welcomed with open arms into local festivals, gatherings and homes of L'Acadie. New Brunswick is the perfect family escape with miles of untouched coast, mountains, rivers and beautiful parks to discover.

On the most easterly edge of North America is Newfoundland & Labrador, and the point where the sun rises first. This is a land of rich history and stunning coastlines where breaching whales, icebergs, and some of the most incredible skyscapes can be found. Quaint towns, bustling cities, mountain ranges, National Parks, waterfalls, winding coastlines, there is always something incredible to see and an endless list of things to do here.

Prince Edward Island and beaches are practically synonyms. With over 1100km of shoreline of pristine untouched beaches, colourful countryside, top-rated golf courses, craft shops and beautiful restaurants, Prince Edward Island is an idyllic island retreat. Explore Charlottetown by way of the water, aboard the M.V. Prince Edward. Sail past historic sites, lighthouses and get close up views of the rocky red shoreline and cliffs.

The setting of the famous Anne of green Gables tale, you can visit Cavendish and the Green Gables house and discover the beautiful setting that inspired L. M. Montgomery, and there are lots of sites dedicated to the writer and the famous character Anne all over the island.
