Canada's east coast is steeped in a rich mingling of cultures and history. From the early Native Canadian inhabitants to the Scottish and Acadian settlers, each group has made its mark on the rugged shores and dramatic landscape of the Maritimes.

From the picturesque lighthouses of Peggy's Cove, to the grand ships in Halifax's port, to the postcard-perfect villages of the Cabot Trail you will find yourself captivated by this region and its people forever.

Highlights include a sightseeing tour of historic Halifax, exploring the Cabot Trail and visit to Cape Breton National Park.

Day 1: Arrival in Halifax
Arrive at Halifax International Airport and independently transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to prepare for the next day's start of your maritime adventure.

Day 2: Halifax
After breakfast, we will join a comprehensive sightseeing tour of historic Halifax. You may visit such attractions as the Titanic Burial Site, Province Garden, Government House, the Victorian Halifax Public Gardens and the memorable Citadel National Historic Site.
Overnight in Halifax.
Continental breakfast included.

Day 3: Halifax to Western Shore
Today we depart Halifax for beautiful and world-famous Peggy's Cove. Known for its lovely lighthouses, the Cove attracts visitors from all over the world. Followed by visit to the charming town of Lunenburg, we continue on to check in for our overnight hotel stay in Western Shore.
Breakfast included.

Day 4: Western Shore to Digby
After breakfast we board our coach to continue on our journey to charming Digby, stopping along the way for a fascinating visit to Kejimkujik National Park. Upon arrival in Digby, we take a sightseeing tour of this quaint seaside town.
Breakfast included.

Day 5: Digby to Truro
Continuing on to Truro today, we tour the site of Fort Anne and the surrounding region that commemorates the area where European powers battled for dominance in North America. Set in the scenic Annapolis Valley, the National Park service has established a historical park to educate visitors about the area’s rich past. Carrying on to Grand Pre National Historic site, we get a sense of the French Acadian roots of the community before their forced deportation in 1755.
Overnight in Truro.
American breakfast included.

Day 6: Truro to Baddeck
Leaving Truro, we depart for the rocky cliffs of Baddeck. Nestled in the rugged forests and cliffs of Cape Breton, this area offers a dramatic meeting of land and sea with towering stone outcroppings inter spaced by deep lochs, beloved by the Scottish immigrants that adopted this land as their own. We will also visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum on the site the famous inventor chose to build his vacation home and where he later took up permanent residence.
Overnight in Baddeck.
Continental breakfast included.

Day 7: Baddeck
We begin our second day in Baddeck by starting out on the Cabot Trail as it plunges into the Cape Breton Highlands. The road switches back through the rugged forests as they ascend from the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The lifeline between the many fishing villages that dot the coast, the Cabot Trail celebrates the original paths trodden by explorer John Cabot and his first meeting with the native Mi'kmaq people that originally inhabited the area.
Overnight in Baddeck.
Continental breakfast included.

Day 8: Baddeck to Halifax
Today we depart Baddeck for Halifax International Airport for your departing flight. We hope you have enjoyed your time in Canada's spectacular maritime provinces and hope to see you again soon!
