Sun Peaks
In our opinion Sun Peaks is one of the best resorts in Canada, for families especially it is out of this
world! It's the second largest area to ski or ride in British Columbia (and third in Canada), with over
3,678 of skiable acres on three mountains, made up of 121 runs and bowls. A major benefit is that it's
one of North America's few ski in-ski out resorts, everything is so convenient.
The village has everything you'll need from boutiques, grocery stores, bars, restaurants, a night club, two spas and a sports centre. Take a tour of the village in a horse drawn sleigh, try tubing or ice-skating in the evening at the outdoor rink, or let the kids play at the Kids Adventure Park. It is an intimate village, ideal for families, couples and those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle. If you still want more, try out snowmobiling, dog sledding or go on a snow shoeing tour.
On the slopes, getting around is so easy with no time wasted on shuttles or in queues. Each chairlift gives you access to blue, green and black runs, most spilling back into the village. No matter how you like to make your turns — snowploughing, ripping it up in the deep powder, or carving down the Snowboard Terrain Park — we are sure you'll have an amazing time. Add an average 18' of snow and 2,000 hours of sunshine annually and you're all set for powder paradise.
There is an excellent kids ski school and not one but 4 beginners areas!, as well as day care facilities for toddlers and pre school kids.
