This wonderful train tour takes you to all of the most popular areas in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. Head deep into the Rockies to the glistening coastal gem of Vancouver you will experience wonderful scenery at every turn.

Itinerary

Day 1 Calgary

Arrive in Calgary’s International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. Pick up your information kit at the front desk upon check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to explore at leisure . Overnight in Calgary.

Day 2 Calgary to Banff

Experience the majesty of the mountains as you first travel through the foothills and then enter Banff National Park where the lofty peaks form a picturesque crown around the parklands. Arrive in the bustling town of Banff. Overnight in Banff.

Day 3 Banff

A day at leisure to enjoy this picturesque Rockies town, why not take the gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain for some amazing views, visit the hot springs or just meander around the many shops in Banff town. Overnight Banff.

Day 4 Banff to Lake Louise

Depart Banff and continue to Lake Louise, the surrounding scenery is breathtaking as you make your way through the heart of the Rockies. Spend the night in Lake Louise.

Day 5 Lake Louise

Enjoy a relaxing day at Lake Louise, one of the world’s most photographed Lake’s. Take a walk around the Lake and up to the Tea House where you can relax and enjoy the mountain vista. Overnight Lake Louise.

Day 6 Lake Louise to Jasper

Depart Lake Louise this morning by coach on a full day tour along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic highways in the world. Stop at the Columbia Icefield and take an Ice Explorer tour on to the Glacier. Included in this trip is a visit to the new Glacier Skywalk, an exciting cliff-edge walkway that leads to a platform where glass is all that separates you from a 918 foot drop, the views are incredible. Continue to Jasperand overnight here.

Day 7 Jasper

A day spent at leisure to explore the lovely mountain town of Jasper. You could take a cruise on Maligne Lake and view the much photographed Spirit Island or the more adventurous could enjoy white water rafting. Overnight Jasper.

Day 8 Jasper to Kamloops onboard Rocky Mountaineer

Your journey continues, highlights include the climb over the Yellowhead Pass as you depart Jasper National Park, Mount Robson at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies and Pyramid Falls. Arrive into Kamloops this evening and overnight. Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 9 Kamloops to Vancouver onboard Rocky Mountaineer

Continue on board the Rocky Mountaineer train and experience a spectacular rail excursion from Kamloops to Vancouver. Travel along the rushing torrents of the Fraser and Thompson Rivers, pass through “cowboy country” ranchlands, true pioneer territory. Travel through historic towns and lush farmlands as you head into Vancouver. Listen to the history and legends of the West while enjoying all the comforts of your luxury train. Overnight in Vancouver. Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 10 Vancouver - End of Tour

The morning is yours to enjoy this beautiful coastal city, before independently transferring to Vancouver International Airport to check in for your return flight.
