How long have you been a Canada travel expert?

I have been a Canada expert for 2 years and 4 months (but have worked in the industry for 33 years)

Where have you visited in Canada?

I have been to, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake, Calgary, Banff, Kamloops, Vancouver, White horse, Dawson City, Haines Junction (and Chicken in Alaska). I've travelled through the Rocky Mountains on the Rocky Mountaineer train and have ventured on a Motorhome holiday in the Yukon.

What was your favourite experience in Canada?

I have quite a few favourite experiences in Canada but if I had to name one it would have to be seeing the Northern lights in Dawson City, they were amazing.

What is your top tip for a Canada Holiday?

My top tip for Canada is to try and not fit everything in on a first trip. It is a country that once you have been, I can guarantee you will want to visit again and again; it has my heart.

How long have you been a Canada travel expert?

I have been with Canadian Affair for over three years. It’s the best job ever and I feel very valued. I've been in travel for nearly 35 years.

Where have you visited in Canada?

I visited Canada first in 1989, and I did coast to coast on the Greyhound buses and most of America too. I've been to Toronto, Montréal, Ottawa, Québec City, Calgary, Banff, Vancouver and Victoria.

What was your favourite experience in Canada?

Canada is my favourite country, I have so many experiences, but given my love of trains (I used to go to bed with train timetables) it would have to be the Rocky Mountaineer. Unforgettable, magical and you get treated like the Kardashians.

What is your top tip for a Canada Holiday?

It’s a trip of a lifetime but you get good value for money doing a bucket list experience so don’t be afraid to spend money as in the long run it will be well worth it.

How long have you been a Canada travel expert?

I have been a Canada travel expert for the past 2 years after changing career but I have been lucky enough to have a great amount of travel experience specifically in North America!

Where have you visited in Canada?

I have visited Montreal and Toronto, and I have plans for trips to The Rockies! My trips have been multi-city, combined with trips to New York and other cities in North America.

What was your favourite experience in Canada?

Going up the CN tower and watching the sunset was one of my favourites, along with the view I got from the VIA rail from Montreal to Toronto which runs alongside Lake Ontario. It was such a great way to see the country.

What is your top tip for a Canada Holiday?

Plan ahead and give yourself enough time in each place to experience places that aren’t just ‘tourist hotspots’ that give you the true Canadian experience.

I have been working at Canadian Affair for 10 years now.

Where have you visited in Canada?

I've been lucky enough to travel to Toronto, Niagara Falls, the Rockies, Vancouver, Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island.

What was your favourite experience in Canada?

Travelling on the Via Rail right across Canada.

What is your top tip for a Canada Holiday?

Don’t try to cram too much in at once, take your time to enjoy different areas.

How long have you been a Canada Travel Expert? 

I have only been working for Canadian Affair since 2024 but I previously lived in Canada for two years so was already something of an expert.

Where have you visited in Canada?

Whilst living and working in Canada I spent time in Toronto, Blue Mountain, Vancouver, Kelowna and Banff. I’ve also travelled around the Rockies, Quebec and Nova Scotia.

What was your favourite experience in Canada?

Taking a Helicopter Tour from Abraham Lake over the Rockies.

What’s a hidden gem in Canada?

Revelstoke is a smaller mountain town, with a great ski resort in the winter and beautiful outdoor activities in the summer such as kayaking.
