Atlantic Canada Holidays
Atlantic Canada is one of Canada’s most diverse and historic regions. The four provinces of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland & Labrador combine to create a vibrant region. It is filled with colour; with the sea salt smells and tastes of the ocean; with the friendliest fishing communities waiting to welcome you in. Each province has its own unique flavour, with cultures ranging from Scottish to French, British to Acadian with plenty of First Nations native heritage in the mix. Dive in with guided tours of lighthouses and villages, get stuck into the local restaurants and al fresco dining, and explore like a local by bike or on foot.

Atlantic Canada's provinces
Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia's capital city, Halifax, is under a 7-hour flight from the UK, making it one of the closest spots in Canada to visit! It means Nova Scotia is the perfect province to fly into and start exploring Atlantic Canada. Highlights of the province include Cape Breton Island with its stunning coastal drive, and seafood in fishing towns like Digby (famous for its scallops). Join a whale watching tour, hike along spectacular coastal cliffs or simply relax on an unspoiled beach.
New Brunswick
New Brunswick is full of quaint, old-world charm. Witness the world’s highest tides at Hopewell Rocks, from four storeys tall at high tide to the ocean floor at low tide. The Bay of Fundy is fantastic for kayaking and New Brunswick is home to the warmest saltwater along Canada's Atlantic Coast, making it great for swimming and water sports. The province is also home to two national parks, both of which provide hiking among the gorgeous natural landscape.

Atlantic Canada's provinces
Prince Edward Island
Conveniently connected to Nova Scotia by ferry and New Brunswick via the Confederation Bridge; Canada's smallest province is known for its vivid colours, rolling landscapes, miles of pristine beaches and red sandstone cliffs. A Prince Edward Island holiday offers authentic PEI experiences that let you participate in the local culture. Imagine catching and cooking your own lobster or learning an Acadian step dance. Don't forget to visit Anne of Green Gables' house.
Newfoundland & Labrador
The island of Newfoundland and coast of Labrador are rich in history and natural wonders. You can visit the only authenticated Viking site in North America at the National Historic Site of L'Anse aux Meadows. Iceberg Alley sees giants of the Arctic drift down past the capital of St. John's (perfect for a city break). You can also visit the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site of Gros Morne National Park.
