Getting around Vancouver
Vancouver offers several convenient ways to travel between the airport and the city centre. You can hire a car at Vancouver Airport using Canadian Affair's competitive rates, or use the public transport which is reliable and easy to use. The Canada Line (SkyTrain) connects the airport to downtown Vancouver. Additional options include hotel shuttle buses, taxis and scheduled coach services. These provide flexile transport for travellers heading into the city or continuing to nearby destinations such as Whistler and Squamish.
Car rental services are located just outside the terminal, with companies including National, Alamo, Avis, Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty and Budget.
Also known as the Sky Train, Vancouver’s rapid transit rail link connects the airport to downtown Vancouver in 25 minutes. It is affordable and easily accessible, located between the main International and Domestic terminals.
There are a number of bus services scheduled which can shuttle you between the airport and Whistler and Squamish along the Sea to Sky Corridor.
Many hotels offer courtesy shuttle buses, providing transportation to and from the hotel. You can request a bus from the direct dial phones in Arrivals or from the shuttle pick-up area outside the terminals.
Fully licensed taxis are available on Level 2 of Arrivals. Zone fares apply to specific zones in Vancouver, while metered fares are applicable outside of these zones.

Vancouver weather
Vancouver, by Canadian standards, is relatively warm in winter with temperatures rarely falling below freezing and with little to no snow. The summer months are pleasant and dry, but cooler compared to other Canadian cities, with summer temperatures averaging around 22°C at their hottest.
The weather in Vancouver can also be wet, with November to March seeing the most rainfall, and July and August receiving the least. If your flight to Vancouver is in the spring or autumn, you will experience a distinct and defined season, rather than feeling the weather change abruptly between winter and summer, as in other regions.
