On arrival in Ottawa, transfer independently to your hotel. After checking in, it’s time to take your first steps into Canada's capital! Containing 7 of the country’s national museums this is the place to immerse yourself in Canadian culture and history. Take a stroll or a boat tour down Rideau Canal before finding an outdoor patio to sit back, relax with a drink and some delicious food and bask in the ambiance of this laid-back city. Make sure to explore ByWard Market during your stay.

Kingston
After picking up your hire car, make the journey to the historic city of Kingston. On your way, explore the Thousand Islands National Park on a scenic river cruise. Once in Kingston, you can stroll the waterfront promenade, lined with museums and grand buildings such as Kingston City Hall. On the outskirts of town is the Fort Henry National Historic Site, a 19th-century military fort that is now a museum showcasing military life and has daily demonstrations by the Fort Henry Guard.

Huntsville
Leave the city behind as you travel to the Algonquin Provincial Park, a vast area of maple hills, rocky ridges, and thousands of lakes and home to moose, black bears, and common loons (the provincial bird of Ontario!). One of the best ways to explore the park is by canoe which you can hire from one of the many outfitters dotted around the park. Or why not join a guided canoe tour? The local guides have wealth of local of knowledge of the local flora and fauna to help you get the most from your experience.

Niagara Falls
Travel south, making a stop at the village of Elora, voted as the most beautiful village in Ontario. Stroll the historic centre, with its boutique shops and cafes, and go tubing or kayaking down the Elora Gorge. End the day in Niagara Falls and view the iconic falls from Queen Victoria Park or from the Voyage to the Falls boat tour.

Niagara-on-the-Lake
After a last look at Niagara Falls, make the short journey to Niagara-on-the-Lake a beautifully preserved 19th century village. Be sure to stop at one of the many wineries along the Wine Route and sample Ontario’s renowned Icewine, a local speciality at Inniskillin Winery. In Niagara-on-the-Lake, join a horse drawn carriage tour down the main street of Old Town and visit one of the many spas, the perfect way to end this journey through Ontario.
