Banff
Arrive at Calgary International Airport, pick up you hire car and head straight for the mountains! You 2 full days to explore the charming mountain town of Banff and the surrounding national park with its majestic scenery. On your first day, ride the Banff Gondola up to the top of Sulphur Mountain to enjoy incredible views, cruise on Lake Minnewanka and spend time relaxing in the thermal waters of the historic Banff Upper Hot Springs, a magical experience that has drawn visitors to Banff since 1886. The next day, travel on the Bow Valley Parkway to Lake Louise, one of the most photographed lakes in the world. You’ll understand why when you see the turquoise lake, with the distant mountains and Victoria Glacier providing the perfect backdrop.

Icefields Parkway

Enjoy the ride and stop at the many viewpoints along the way before arriving at the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America. Here you can ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier before stepping out on to the Glacier Skywalk for unobstructed views of the Sunwapta Valley. Afterwards, continue north towards Jasper, making a stop at Athabasca Falls.

There are many lakes and waterfalls to see but don’t miss Spahats Creek Falls, which plunges 75m down into a rocky canyon.

Whistler
As you pass Lillooet, you leave the semi-arid rolling hills of the BC interior behind and enter the Coast Mountain range. Be amazed by the spectacular scenery as you travel alongside fast-flowing rivers and past vibrant blue lakes and gushing waterfalls on the way to Whistler. The next day is free to allow you to explore this vibrant year-round resort. Stroll the pedestrianised downtown, which is home to fabulous restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops, take the gondola up Whistler Mountain and enjoy breath-taking views or join a bear-watching tour to go in search of local black bears.

Catch the ferry from Horseshoe Bay over to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island where you will spend the evening.

Join a kayak tour to explore the Broken Islands, or a bear watching tour from Tofino or just cruise leisurely up and down the coastline stopping at the many famous beaches along the way.

Vancouver
Visit Butchart Gardens in the morning then catch the ferry back to the mainland, be sure to grab a seat on the viewing deck and marvel as you weave through the Gulf Islands. The next day you are free to the enchanting coastal city of Vancouver. Take a stroll round Stanley Park, head over to Granville Island to discover a world of food, art and culture or take a shuttle bus over to the North Shore and the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 70 metres over the Capilano River.
