Day 1 Vancouver
Upon arrival in Vancouver independently transfer to your downtown hotel. Jump on a sightseeing trolley to get your bearings of the city on your first day and see some of Vancouver’s most famous landmarks. Overnight Vancouver
Day 2 Embark Princess Coral Cruise
Head down to Vancouver’s Canada Place to board your Princess cruise. And say farewell to downtown as you set sail on your Alaskan Adventure.
Day 3 At Sea
The Inside Passage is famed for its glacier-carved fjords and pristine forested shores. Whales, dolphins and other marine life as well as bald eagles and tufted puffins can be seen from the decks of your ship. Cascading waterfalls and majestic snow-capped mountains will have you captured at every turn.
Day 4 Juneau
Welcome to the state capital Juneau surrounded by beautiful glaciers and stunning views of mountains and waterways. View the Mendenhall Glacier at 12miles long, half a mile wide and 200-1,800 feet deep. Juneau offers opportunities for whale watching, glacier flightseeing as well as dog sledding.
Day 5 Skagway
Skagway was the gateway to the gold fields for those who flocked north in search of riches. The White Pass route through the Coast Mountains as well as the Chilkoot Trail were used by countless stampeders and many would perish in their journey for gold. Today Skagway reflects that gold rush era in Broadway where false fronts have been attached to buildings and saloons house locals dressed up in period costumes to recreate the gold rush buzz. Today you can journey the White Pass on the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad linking Skagway with Yukon, Canada as well as panning for gold at the camps to experience what life was like during the boom-town days.
Day 6 Glacier Bay
Princess Cruises are one of a select few cruise lines permitted to journey the waters of Glacier Bay. This national park and reserve boasts some of the world’s most spectacular tidewater glaciers. Glacier Bay National Park are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Park Rangers will join the ship to share their knowledge and help identify the areas abundant wildlife and glaciers.
Day 7 Ketchikan
Be captivated by Ketchikan’s thriving native culture, home to the world’s oldest collection of totem poles at Totem Heritage Centre as well as three south eastern groups, the Haida, Tlingit and Tsimshian. Take in the dramatic beauty of Misty Fjords National Monument encompassing 2 million acres of granite cliffs, 1,000-foot waterfalls and crystalline lakes.
Day 8 At Sea
Spend today enjoying the scenic views of the Inside Passage. Take the chance to relax onboard as you head back towards Vancouver.
Day 9 - 10 Vancouver
Disembark your cruise ship as you arrive back at Canada Place, once checked in to your hotel its time to explore this bustling city. Vancouver has many neighbourhoods such as Chinatown, Gastown, Granville Island, Yaletown, West End, Davie Village and many more. A visit to Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden offers a glimpse into Chinese culture and symbolism, visit Gastown’s Steam Clock and vintage lampposts in Vancouver’s oldest neighbourhoods or visit Granville Island’s Public Market, housed indoors there are endless rows of stalls that feature fresh produce, gourmet foods, baked good and seafood. A walking tour of the market is a great way to get a local’s insight.
Day 11 Vancouver to Great Bear Lodge
Independently transfer to Vancouver South Terminal for your flight to Port Hardy where you will check in for your transfer by seaplane to Great Bear Lodge (departure at approximately 15:00). Upon arrival at the lodge you will be met by your hosts and shown to your private room. Later participate in your first wildlife viewing session. In the evening enjoy a fresh gourmet meal prepared with the best local food and produce and served with a complimentary wine or beer. As well, participate in an informative audio-visual presentation on the grizzly and its place in the local ecology. Relax in the lodge’s sitting room, or watch the moon rise over the mountains from its large decks. Overnight Great Bear Lodge.
Day 12 – 13 Great Bear Lodge
Great Bear Lodge focuses on sustainability, using wind and solar power and taking special care not to disturb the local wildlife. Scheduled morning and afternoon bear viewing sessions coincide with times when the bears are the most active. Accompanied by an experienced wildlife biologist you will observe the bears as they roam freely in their natural habitat as you float by boat through nearby estuaries or watch from specially designed viewing areas. Keep an eye out for other wildlife such as wolves, otters, bald eagles, black bears, pine martins and mink. Daily guided activities such as boat tours and a popular interpretative rainforest walk are offered between morning and afternoon viewing excursions and a delicious lunch awaits you back at the lodge.
Day 14 Port Hardy
On your day of departure from Great Bear Lodge you’ll participate in a final bear watching session, followed by a farewell lunch and afternoon activity before being transferred back to Port Hardy in the afternoon (between 16:00 – 18:00). Overnight Port Hardy
Day 15 Vancouver
Board your scheduled flight back to Vancouver today and spend the rest of the day exploring the rest of Vancouver. Hire a bike and take in the seawalls and Stanley Park’s many trails or shop ‘til you drop on Robson Street, Vancouver’s oldest commercial street the city’s best-known shopping precinct.
Day 16 End of tour
This morning bid farewell to Vancouver as you independently transfer back to the airport for your flight back to the UK

Important: All cruise passengers must complete the online Visa Waiver form by visiting https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov which is needed for entry into the US at a cost of $14 per person.
You must complete an ESTA application at least 72 hours before flying. Any traveller who fails to complete an ESTA application at least 3 days before departure will almost certainly be refused entry into the country under new US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. If you are even considering visiting the States, it's worth filling out an ESTA application now as they are valid for two years.
