Day 1 - 3 Vancouver
Upon arrival at Vancouver Airport collect your hire car and make your way downtown. Gateway to the Pacific, Vancouver is a beautiful city of 2 halves, the coastal mountains and the Pacific Coast. Explore her downtown from Gastown to Chinatown or stroll the seawall along English Bay to Stanley Park. 3nights Vancouver.
Day 4 Vancouver to Victoria
Make your way to the ferry terminal at Tsawwassen for your BC Ferry route from Vancouver to Vancouver Island. Look out for marine life as you go as you may be lucky enough to view a pod of whales from the comfort of your seat. Overnight Victoria
Day 5 Victoria
This little city certainly packs a punch. View the iconic Inner Harbour and watch as the seaplanes land or visit the famous Butchart Gardens and take in the Italian Garden or Rose Garden. Victoria also offers the historic Bastion Square and Fan Tan Alley, the narrowest street in the country and a side door to Canada’s oldest Chinatown. For those wishing to see wildlife a whale watching cruise from Victoria will take you to the San Juan Strait to hopefully catch a pod of orca playing. Overnight Victoria
Day 6 Victoria - Parksville
Make your way along the Oceanside Route Highway 19A between Victoria and Parksville. Boasting miles of picturesque coastline, charming towns and outdoor adventure along the way. Overnight Parksville
Day 7 Parksville
Parksville is an escapists’ paradise, offering natural, laid back culture and accessibility. Six provincial parks located within thirty minutes’ drive for easy and moderate walking and the spectacular views of the Strait of Georgia and the Vancouver Island Mountain Range, make Parksville a popular destination. Day 8 Parksville to Courtenay
Today continue North up highway 19A towards the Comox Valley, known for its culinary and outdoor pursuits tempting food lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. Close to Strathcona Park meaning plenty of hiking and biking routes are available or for the more laid-back traveller why not indulge yourself in one of Courtenay’s many restaurants, pubs or breweries. Day 9 Courtenay to Lund
Take the ferry from Comox to Powell River, back on the mainland’s Sunshine Coast, and drive to the small town of Lund. Where you will be met in the lobby of the The Lund Resort at Klah Ah Men by a Pacific Coastal Representative who will assist in taking your luggage to the boat for your 3-hour cruise to Homfray Lodge. Upon arrival, receive an orientation of the lodge and an overview of the next day’s activities. Afterwards, take some time to get settled and explore the amenities and comforts of the lodge before dinner. Dinner included. Overnight Homfray Lodge
Day 10 Homfray Channel
Today is a day of discovery, travelling to Toba Inlet. Today you’ll enjoy a day of coastal exploration and breath-taking waterfalls. Take in the sheer size and power of the falls from the top viewing deck or head down to the front of the ship - you may even have a chance to feel the spray of the water! Join your fellow guests for brunch while sitting in view of the falls. Returning to the Homfray Lodge, the remainder of the day and evening is yours at leisure. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks included. Overnight at Homfray Lodge.
Day 11 Homfray Channel
Today you will go on a 2-hour eco-tour by boat to explore Homfray Channel and the surrounding area. Afterwards enjoy the rustic charm and authentic warmth of the lodge. Warm summer temperatures and the meeting of the tides cause the Desolation Sound to have the mildest climate, abundant sea life and warmest water on the BC coast with ocean temperatures reaching up to 24°C (75°F). This peaceful setting allows you to enjoy the captivating scenery, active marine life, and the lodge's activities such as kayaking and, stand up paddle boarding, or a swim in the warm waters off the lodge's dock! Day 12 Quathiaski Cove
Departing the lodge, set sail for another day of cruising as the ship travels through both scenic Pryce and Whale Channels before arriving at Heriot Bay on shores of Quadra Island. From Heriot Bay, passengers embark on a short transfer to the Cape Mudge resort Tsa-Kwa-Luten Lodge – a magnificent First Nation property. Dinner is hosted at the lodge in the evening. Day 13 Quathiaski Cove to Vancouver
This morning board the boat for breakfast and begin your southbound voyage back to Lund. The return journey is no less stunning than the first, giving you a final opportunity for photos. Arriving at Lund Harbour mid-afternoon, your adventure comes to an end. Collect your car from the The Lund Resort at Klah Ah Men continue your journey south along the Sunshine Coast to Vancouver. Day 14 Fly Home
