Day 1 Fly to Toronto
Arrive in Toronto’s International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel for a two night stay. Pick up your information pack at the front desk upon check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore Canada’s largest commercial and cultural centre
Day 2 Toronto
Discover the many identities of this cosmopolitan city on a sightseeing tour of Toronto. Highlights include the provincial Parliament Buildings, City Hall, the financial district, Chinatown, residential areas and the waterfront. Afterwards, the remainder of the day is free to independently take in some of the city’s other attractions such as the 553-metre tall CN Tower, the harbour islands or maybe enjoy a baseball game.
Day 3 Toronto – Ottawa
This morning, transfer independently to Union Station to board VIA Rail’s The Corridor train to Ottawa. Enjoy the romance of a scenic rail journey that travels though the townships and villages of eastern Ontario on the route to the seat the national government. Arriving in Ottawa and checking in to your hotel, take some time to explore the pedestrian pathways that run along the Rideau Canal, the parliamentary grounds or any one of the restaurants located around the core of the city centre. Continue with as many days as required.
Day 4 Ottawa to Yellowknife
Today you are transferred to the Ottawa airport and board your flight to Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. Your flight crosses the heart of Canada, passing over 4 provinces enroute to one of the largest cities in the Canadian north on the rugged shores of the massive Great Slave Lake. Arriving in Yellowknife, you are transferred to your hotel by the hotel shuttle where the remainder of the day is at leisure
Day 5 Yellowknife
The habitat and habits of one of northern Canada’s most distinctive large animals are revealed today on a fascinating wood bison wildlife tour. The tour departs along the highway to areas frequented by the bison to see them graze and socialize in their large groups. Also included is a gourmet lunch prepared with a northern flare. Returning to the hotel, the afternoon and evening are free to relax and enjoy the amenities of your hotel, or discover some of the hidden charms of the surrounding area.
Day 6 Yellowknife
Today is free to independently explore this intriguing northern city. Today is at leisure to either enjoy the amenities of your hotel, or further explore the sights and sounds of city, its interesting restaurants, and curios shops.
Day 7 Yellowknife – Whitehorse
After arriving to Yellowknife airport, board the plane for your short flight to Whitehorse in the southwest of the Yukon Territory. Following your transfer to your hotel, take some time to discover how this small city has embraced the buildings, artifacts and elements of its Gold Rush past to give visitors a taste of life during the time of 19th century prospectors.
Day 8 Whitehorse
Today is free to independently explore the streets and sites of Whitehorse. Perhaps drop by the Visitor Centre to learn about the different regions of the Yukon, or visit the SS Klondike - a paddle wheeler ship used in the Gold Rush. You may enjoy a visit to the MacBride Museum, displaying authentic artifacts from the city’s colourful history.
Day 9 Whitehorse
Today you embark on a full-day scenic trip along the South Klondike Highway to Fraser, British Columbia. Upon arrival, board the world-famous narrow gauge White Pass & Yukon Route Railway to journey through areas that still echo with the hardships and fortunes of the past such as Glacier Gorge, Dead Horse Gulch and Bridal Veil Falls. The route travels over the White Pass Summit, offering views from a height of 880m before ending in Skagway, Alaska. Return by motorcoach to Whitehorse to relax for the evening at your hotel
Day 10 Whitehorse – Vancouver
This morning you board your final flight of you package. Flying down the length of British Columbia, you land in Vancouver where you are transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, jump on a hop-on/hop-off city tour of Vancouver. This unique tour with commentary allows you to leave the tour at any one of the over 20 stops in popular areas such as the waterfront, Stanley Park or Chinatown. Rejoin the tour as it loops around back to your original embarking point.
Day 11 Vancouver
Take advantage of your multi-day hop-on / hop-off pass to further explore additional areas of this diverse and captivating city. Create your own itinerary as you eat lunch in Gastown, dine on Granville Street and browse everywhere in between!
Day 12 Vancouver
A final day in this seaside metropolis to either further explore the city, or venture across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island. You may also wish to independently arrange a wildlife tour, or perhaps embark on a whale watching excursion out in the waters of the strait.
Day 13 Fly home - End of the tour
