In the area
It is a short stroll to the friendly downtown district which has a great spread of local boutiques, galleries and a variety of different restaurants as well many popular annual events.
The Canmore Museum houses a huge collection of artefacts and exhibits on a wide range of subjects including the Bow Valley history, natural history and First Nations displays. Take a walk down the road and visit the North West Mounted Police Barracks, which are now fully restored and a fascinating place to explore.
There are many beautiful trails in the area, and plenty of opportunity to canoe or raft on the crystal-clear alpine lakes.
