Hidden Valley resort is a lovely hotel nestled in the forest on the shores of Peninsula Lake, just a few minutes’ drive to the town of Huntsville. Rooms are light and welcoming with quality furnishings, in a range of set-ups from standard to family rooms, some offering balconies with stunning views across the lake. There is an indoor pool with a spectacular view over the surrounding trees and the lake through floor to ceiling windows, outdoor lakeside pool, fitness centre and sauna, as well as The Birches Restaurant which offers a delicious menu of classic fare and has plenty of comfortable outdoor seating on the sunny patio.

In the area

Situated in the Muskoka region of Ontario, Huntsville, is Ontario’s ‘capital of Outdoor Adventure’. Located only a 30–40 minute drive to nearby Algonquin Provincial Park it is the perfect base to explore hiking trails lakeside views and canoeing. Algonquin Provincial Park is spread across 7,600 square km and is Canada’s oldest provincial park. Visitors to Huntsville also have Arrowhead Provincial Park just a short 10 minute drive north featuring sandy beaches and more hiking trails. Due to its location Huntsville is a year-round destination as it serves well offering snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling during the winter months. The Muskoka region is known for its artists & the town features plenty of local of opportunity to view the local artwork on offer as well as plenty of festivals and amazing food.
