It is just a fifteen minute walk from the hotel into the centre of Jasper, which is friendly small town with a good collection of restaurants and shops, from rustic local stores and cafes to the more modern shopping centres and boutique stores on Patricia Street. It is a lively community with regular live music and events.
The fascinating Jasper-Yellowhead Museum houses exhibits on the railway and the early exploration of the National Park, with some interesting authentic artefacts.
Spend the day at Maligne Lake, an hour from the hotel. Peacefully paddle the glass-like waters in a kayak, before retiring to Maligne Lake Chalet for traditional Afternoon Tea.
