In the area
Included in your room rate is canoeing on Moraine Lake, as well as guided hikes with the hotel’s naturalist, helping you to see things you may otherwise miss and learn some history behind the dramatic scenery.
Twenty minutes away by car is Lake Louise and its gondola, from which grizzly bears are regularly spotted foraging for berries and wild flowers. From here you can also take a horseback tour around the lake and into the mountains to one of the historic tea houses.
A little further but worth the trip is Takakkaw Falls - one of the highest waterfalls in Canada and a truly impressive natural wonder.
