Day 1 Fly from London to Toronto
Arrive at Pearson International Airport, Toronto. Individual transfer to your downtown hotel. After a check-in with your tour director, the remainder of the day is free. Overnight in Toronto.
Day 2 Toronto / Niagara Falls Excursion
Start the day with a sightseeing tour of Toronto and discover the many cultures of Canada's most cosmopolitan city. Then, travel to the splendour of Niagara Falls through the lush fruit-growing district of the Niagara Peninsula and historic village of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Included with our tour is a thrilling boat ride on the Hornblower Niagara Cruises - Voyage to the Falls, taking us right to the foot of the Horseshoe Falls. Overnight in Toronto. Day 3 Toronto to Montebello
Departing early, we enjoy a pleasant drive east. Following the north shore of Lake Ontario, we pass endless miles of rolling farmland and the small townships of eastern Ontario. Crossing the Québec provincial border, the rich rural history and French colonial legacy of the many small communities is evident. We arrive in the stunning rock faced, riverside town of Montebello. Overnight in Montebello. Full breakfast included.
Day 4 Montebello / Ottawa Excursion
After breakfast, we embark on a day trip to Canada’s national capital of Ottawa. The towering Neo-gothic spires of Parliament are reflected in the wide canals that wind through the centre of the city. We also visit Omega Park on the way back to Montebello, a splendid wildlife preserve that is home to some of Canada’s most unique animals. Overnight in Montebello. Full breakfast included.
Day 5 Montebello to Saint-Alexis-Des-Monts
This morning we depart from Montebello for Saint-Alexis-des-Monts as we travel farther up the St. Lawrence Seaway before turning north outside of Montréal and continuing into the Québec heartland. Before long, we arrive at Hotel Sacacomie, nestled in the Laurentian Mountains. Overnight in Saint-Alexis-des-Monts. Full breakfast and dinner included.
Day 6 Saint-Alexis-Des-Monts
Renown as the ideal outdoor adventure lodge, Hotel Sacacomie offers a wide variety of activities for all guests. Quiet forest walks, lazy afternoons on the private beach, and canoeing help create the perfect resort experience. Overnight in Saint-Alexis-Des-Monts. Full breakfast and dinner included.
Day 7 Saint-Alexis-Des-Monts to La Malbaie
We leave behind the fond memories of Hotel Sacacomie and travel through the beautiful Charlevoix region of Québec. Historically a land of plentiful timber, mineral and water resources, the Charlevoix region has experienced a rebirth as an idyllic woodland getaway region. We arrive at the charming town of La Malbaie, one of Canada's first vacation resorts. Overnight in La Malbaie. Full breakfast included.
Day 8 La Malbaie
Today we visit the picturesque town of Tadoussac and take part in an exciting whale watching excursion. Marvel as the boat comes up beside these leviathans of the deep as they play, feed and socialize only a few metres away! Overnight in La Malbaie. Full breakfast included.
Day 9 La Malbaie to Québec City
We depart for historic Québec City after breakfast, making a stop at Canyon St. Anne. The canyon boasts the 74m high Sainte-Anne waterfall, its rushing waters rumbling into a 1.2 billion year old rock cauldron at its base. The canyon features the highest pedestrian bridge in Quebec, measuring an incredible height of 55m. You may take an optional tour to the Traditional Huron Site `Onhoüa Chetek8e’ to discover the history and culture of the Huron people of the past and of today in an authentic recreation of a Québec Indian village. In the afternoon we arrive at Québec City for our two-night stay. Overnight in Québec City. Full breakfast included
Day 10 Québec City
Today we go on a fascinating sightseeing tour of the old and modern sections of Québec. As North America’s oldest fortified city, this tour offers a unique glimpse back into Canada’s turbulent colonial past. We will tour within the walls of the old city and view Lower Town, the Citadel, Battlefields Park and the ornate city gates. Overnight in Québec City. American buffet breakfast included.
Day 11 Québec City to Montréal
Today’s scenic drive takes you through the fertile plains and rolling hills of the Mauricie / Bois-Francs and Lanaudière regions en route to the forests and unspoiled scenery of Lac à la Truite. We will be treated to a visit to a traditional Québec sugar shack to sample some maple products, before continuing on to Montréal. Overnight in Montréal. American buffet breakfast and lunch included.
Day 12 Montréal
Montréal is one of the art and culture centres of Canada, boasting a long and colourful history that celebrates both its British and French heritage. On a city tour, we will see Notre-Dame Basilica, Old Montréal, the Olympic site, the Biodome and Mount Royal Park. Overnight in Montréal. Full breakfast included.
Day 13 Montréal to Toronto
After breakfast, we journey westward along the St. Lawrence River and the northern shore of Lake Ontario. Just east of Kingston, we board a riverboat for a sightseeing cruise of the Thousand Islands – an intricate waterway dotted with countless islands ranging from large parcels of land to small outcroppings a few metres wide. We arrive in Toronto for our final night. Overnight in Toronto. Full breakfast included.
Day 14 Fly from Toronto to London
