Banff
Welcome to Calgary. You will be transferred from Calgary Airport to the breath-taking settings of the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. Located in the heart of Banff National Park & known as ‘The Castle in the Rockies’ this hotel offers spectacular mountain & valley views. Meet your Travelling Concierge and fellow travellers at 18:00 for a Welcome Dinner. Choose to join a relaxing horse ride along the tranquil Bow River and pass the Cave and Basin National Historic Site, the birthplace of Canada’s national parks. Alternatively, play nine holes of golf at the stunning and challenging Banff Springs Golf Course. Another option is to unwind at the Willow Stream Spa, a serene alpine sanctuary for rejuvenation and pampering.
Lake Louise
Today’s adventure begins with a visit to scenic Moraine Lake in the Valley. Later arrive to the stunning hotel in Lake Louise, the jewel of Banff National Park. Marvel at the breath-taking views of the glistening emerald lake and Victoria Glacier. Choose to take the sightseeing gondola above the town of Lake Louise, spotting local wildlife and enjoying a gentle hike that takes in the breath-taking views. Alternatively, join your Travelling Concierge for a lakeside stroll and get creative as you put your paint brush to canvas and compose your own artistic masterpiece. Later, relax in your lakeview room or join an Afternoon Tea service in your hotel’s Living Room. For dinner this evening, you have a choice of several restaurants at the resort.
Jasper
Travel along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most beautiful drives on the planet. Embark on a specially designed Ice Explorer for an extraordinary excursion onto the surface of the Athabasca Glacier, a part of the Columbia Icefield. Later, arrive in the stunning town Jasper, home for the next two nights is at a luxurious mountain resort. Get involved in an intimate and unique evening where you join the First Nations Warrior Women, who reside in the Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation. Enjoy a BBQ dinner on the shores of Trefoil Lake with spectacular views of Pyramid Mountain. Board a magical narrated cruise on the serene waters of iconic Maligne Lake. Continue to Maligne Canyon and explore with a gentle hike through this incredible natural landmark.
Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops
An exciting experience ahead today, as you board the Rocky Mountaineer Gold-leaf Service to start your unforgettable luxury train journey. Take in the pristine views from your seats in the glass-domed coach or spend your time on the outdoor viewing platform inhaling the fresh mountain air. Indulge in gourmet meals whilst engaging in stories and spotting wildlife as you travel through the dramatic landscape. Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver
This morning you return to your luxurious train as the journey continue toward Vancouver. Notice the dramatic changes in scenery as you travel from the desert-like interior, through the winding river canyons and pristine forests of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, it's truly captivating. The highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon.
Vancouver
Today is a day to explore the coastal city of Vancouver. After a relaxed start join your Travelling Concierge for a sightseeing tour to Stanley Park and see the totem poles at Brockton Point. Continue to Salmon n’ Bannock, the only restaurant in the city owned and operated by members of Canada’s First Nations. Savour a delicious and modern Celebration Lunch prepared with traditional ingredients and authentic flavours.
