America's largest State - a vast & beautiful wilderness

Alaska, a wilderness wonderland so vast and extraordinarily beautiful, there simply aren’t enough superlatives to describe it! They say that everything's bigger in America, and well, Alaska is the biggest state of them all. Seven times the size of the UK, it covers more than 663,268 square miles but is also the least densely populated state with vast stretches of unspoilt landscapes. A magical place where northern lights colour the winter sky and the summer sun circles the horizon, with glistening crystal clear lakes engulfed in calving glaciers, vast evergreen rainforest wilderness and incredible wildlife.

For lovers of the outdoors, few places come close to Alaska, an adventure waiting to be explored. Enjoy unique once-in-a-lifetime experiences: set foot on a glacier, see a grizzly bear catch a salmon, hike to an evergreen wilderness with mountain vistas or take a spectacularly scenic cruise through sparkling waters. You won’t be far from humpback, orca and grey whales, polar bears and arctic foxes. Not to mention grizzly bears, bald headed eagles, moose and curious sea otters.

For most visitors to Alaska, one of the best ways to experience the glorious scenery of the state is by taking an Alaskan cruise. From the deck of a ship, you can enjoy panoramic views of majestic cliffs, icebergs and the many small islands that line the coast whilst. Enjoy opportunities to disembark and explore some areas on foot, giving you the opportunity to taste local dishes, learn about the history and indigenous peoples and shop for local crafts.

  • Home to stunning National Parks encompassing glaciers, forests and tundra
  • Excellent opportunities to see grizzly bears, polar bears, whales and more wildlife
  • Excellent fishing, with thousands of lakes and rivers
  • During the summer, experience the midnight sun
