Located just on the outskirts of Banff National Park, yet still surrounded by the lakes and majestic peaks expected from this region, Canmore is an excellent base for a holiday in Banff National Park.

Downtown Canmore has a fabulous array of dining options, here Canadian favourites such as Beavertails and Rocky Mountain Bagel Company rub shoulders with Korean and Mexican restaurants. Dissecting town is the Policeman's Creek Boardwalk which is the place to stroll in the early evening. On the outskirts of town is the Canmore Nordic Centre, a park in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains which in winter offers cross country skiing and in summer hiking and mountain biking. Although on the outskirts of the National Park, Canmore is an easy 30 minute drive from Banff and the wealth of attractions on offer there.
