Toronto weather

Toronto's position on the Great Lakes helps to regulate its temperature, but it is still a true four-season city with cold winters and reasonably hot summers. Due to its dense urban landscape, you’ll experience warmer evenings most of the year, with the night-time temperature rarely falling below -3°C even in winter. The breeze from Lake Ontario helps to keep the summers cooler, at around 20 to 25 degrees.

Expect frequent snow between December and March, and long days of sunshine in the summer months of June, July and August. The weather can drop a bit lower than freezing in winter and heat waves are common in the summer, so come prepared on your Toronto holiday with all-weather clothing.
