Before hiring a car in Canada, you should be aware that all drivers should be at least 21 years of age and that they have a minimum of 12 months of driving experience.
If you are under 25 you will need to pay a young driver surcharge and will not be able to hire larger vehicles like SUVs or minivans.
US/Canadian driving licences are NOT allowed, if you only have a US or Canadian licence, please do not make a booking as we will have no option but to cancel and refund.
If your licence is issued outside of the EU, you will need to provide an International Driving Permit alongside your regular licence.
Vehicles rented in Canada can be driven throughout Canada and the US, but not into Mexico.
Speed limits are usually 100kmph for highways and 50kmph for towns, but different provinces vary, so check before you travel and watch for speed limit signs whilst driving.
The average fuel price in Canada is $1.60 a litre, although this will vary.
