If you’re looking for a winter adventure...
...encompassing amazing wildlife and incredible scenery, you must visit Alberta in the winter! The first time we visited Alberta was around 25 years ago – we had an amazing time but didn’t spend that long in Jasper and Banff and have been longing to go back ever since. In December 2022, we finally made that dream a reality and it certainly didn’t disappoint. In fact, we would say that this was our best holiday EVER, with some incredible experiences that will stay with us for the rest of our lives.

A Holland America Line Alaska Cruise
With Canada Advocate, Mark
On 2nd September 2023, Mark and his wife, Sarah, set sail on a Holland America Line cruise to Alaska onboard the Koningsdam. Over the next 8 days, they experienced the many natural and cultural delights of the Last Frontier, from travelling the White Pass and Yukon Railroad to Skagway and wandering the quaint streets of the capital city, Juneau, to visiting the Saxman Native Village and enjoying a performance by its Indigenous inhabitants.
As Mark says, 'Go and see for yourself because my words alone cannot truly describe what an assault on the senses an Alaskan Cruise truly is.' Whilst undoubtedly true, if you're looking for a flavour of what's in store for you on an Alaskan cruise, Mark's your man!
