Jasper is a small town nestled in the heart of Jasper National Park, Canada’s largest Rockies national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park is also the world’s second largest Dark Sky Preserve and the largest accessible Dark Sky Preserve and boasts the annual Jasper Dark Sky Festival each October. The stunning Spirit Island in the middle of the glacier fed Maligne Lake is only 47 kilometres away from Jasper and only accessible by boat.
