Harrison Hot Springs
Arrive at Vancouver International Airport, pick up your hire car and make the short drive to Harrison Hot Springs. This small village, at the bottom end of mountain-framed Harrison Lake, is a beautiful introduction to Western Canada. Spend your evening relaxing in the Hot Springs, strolling the lakefront path and enjoying dinner with stunning views across the water towards the surrounding peaks. The next day explore down to lower Fraser Canyon, stopping at Hells Gate for a gondola ride over the wild white water of the Fraser River.
Osoyoos
Travel east through the Coastal Mountains and EC Manning Provincial Park towards the Okanagan Valley, a region famous for its lush orchards and vineyards, relaxing spas and adventure. Make your way to the town of Osoyoos at the southern end of the valley. With it’s dry climate, this area is known as Canada’s only living desert. Visit the Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre and explore the exhibits and trails around the local desert ecosystem and dip your toes in Osoyoos lake, the warmest in the country.
Summerland
Head north up the Okanagan Valley to the small community of Summerland for a 3-night stay at Summerland Waterfront Resort. This is the perfect location to visit the nearby Kettle Valley Steam Railway or exploring the Okanagan Lake and its shoreline with a kayak from onsite Okanagan Lake Boat Rentals. The resort also offers free bike rentals to allow you to explore the local trails and be sure to pay a visit to one of the local cideries for a tasting.
Naramata
Included in this holiday is a tour of the Naramata Bench, a region that is immersed in history with wineries and vineyards over 25 years old. The winding 18km road is home to more than 40 wineries as well as farm-to-table dining options and around every corner is a new spectacular view and the lake and surrounding landscape. On this tour you'll visit 5 wineries where tastings are included. A vineyard lunch reservation is included with this tour, meals are at additional cost.
Sparkling Hill Resort
Spend 2 nights at Sparkling Hill Resort for a healing, wellness retreat experience. The serene views of Okanagan Lake and the Monashee Mountains provide the backdrop to your visit. Sparkling Hill is renowned as a leading destination spa resort for wellness travel in North America where you can maintain, improve or kick-start a healthy lifestyle and increase your overall sense of well-being. With a stunning location, resort inclusions, farm to table dining philosophy and holistic spa treatments, Sparkling Hill Resort provides a healing retreat from your normal environment and a mental break from the stresses of daily life.
Cache Creek
You have now reached the northern end of the Okanagan Valley, so head west towards Kamloops and spend the morning at the BC Wildlife Park, a spacious zoo and rehabilitation centre with animals native to Western Canada, such as grizzly bears and arctic wolves. Stop for a lunch in Kamloops, the best spot is Victoria Street, with its heritage buildings and diverse array of restaurants. The afternoon journey to Cache Creek provides scenic mountain views and marks your transition from the interior valleys towards the coastal ranges.
Whistler
As you pass Lillooet, you leave the semi-arid rolling hills of the BC interior behind and enter the Coast Mountain range. Be amazed by the spectacular scenery as you travel alongside fast-flowing rivers and past vibrant blue lakes and gushing waterfalls on the way to Whistler. Stroll the pedestrianised downtown, which is home to fabulous restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops, take the Peak 2 Peak Gondola up Whistler Mountain and enjoy breath-taking views or join a bear-watching tour to go in search of local black bears. You can also pay a visit to the renowned Scandinavian Spa and enjoy rejuvenating treatments amongst towering peaks.
Sea-to-Sky Highway
Drive the famous Sea-to-Sky Highway, a stunning drive with the soaring Coastal Mountains on one side and blue waters of Howe Sound on the other. Although it’s only 2 hours down to Vancouver, be prepared for this drive to take all day as there are plenty of attractions off the highway such as Brandywine Falls, emerging after a short walk through the forest, enjoying a picnic at Alice Lake, and the Britannia Mine Museum which provides fascinating insights into BC's mining heritage with underground mine train tours.
Vancouver
Spend your final day exploring Vancouver, which is truly one of the worlds great cities. Head to Stanley Park which offers over 400 hectares of coastal rainforest, beaches and stroll the seawall which provides stunning harbour views and easy walking routes. Then either visit Granville Island to discover a world of food, art and culture or take a shuttle bus over to the North Shore and the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 70 metres over the Capilano River.
Fly home
After two weeks of incredible experiences across British Columbia, your Canadian adventure have come to an end. After some last-minute souvenir shopping and city sightseeing, transfer independently to Vancouver International Airport for your flight home.
