Your day-to-day plan
Banff
After your flight, board your scheduled transfer to Banff. Making your way along the Trans Canada Highway to Banff will take you through the beautiful Kananaskis region prior to the soaring Rocky Mountains coming into view. Take time to relax in the Hot Springs or head up Sunshine Mountain on a scenic gondola ride to enjoy incredible views. If you would like an authentic Western Canada experience why not book a Cowboy Cookout for a horse or wagon ride in the evening prior to a hearty meal.
Jasper
Your scheduled transfer will take you to Jasper, known as a dark sky preserve and in the heart of Jasper National Park. The journey along the Icefields Parkway is iconic and perhaps one of the most scenic drives in Canada. It is also home to the Athabasca Glacier, a 4-mile glacier and the most accessible glacier in Canada. The Jasper SkyTram climbs to the summit of Whistler's Mountain with views of downtown and perhaps some photo opportunities of the town’s furry companions. Maligne Lake offers some of the most spectacular scenery and known for its beauty, it is one of the most photographed places in the Canadian Rockies and can be explored by boat.
Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops
Travel on board the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior. From inside Rocky Mountaineer's signature glass dome carriages you will see dramatic changes in scenery as you travel over the Yellowhead Pass, past Mount Robson, at 3,954 metres the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, along banks of the North Thompson River and into the desert-like environment around Kamloops.
Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver
Step back on-board Rocky Mountaineer as you continue west towards the Pacific Ocean. On today's journey you will see more changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the B.C. interior through winding river canyons and past the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley.
Vancouver
The day is yours to explore the enchanting coastal city of Vancouver. Take a stroll round Stanley Park, head over to Granville Island to discover a world of food, art and culture or take a shuttle bus over to the North Shore and the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 70 metres over the Capilano River.
Celebrity Cruises*
Arrive independently at the cruise terminal in Vancouver’s picturesque Canada Place ready to board your cruise to Alaska with Celebrity Cruises.
*This is a sample itinerary that may vary by sailing date.
Inside Passage
Sit back and relax as you cruise Alaska's Inside Passage, a spectacular route through a complex labyrinth of waterways, featuring glacier-cut fjords, lush rainforests, and an abundance of wildlife including orca, bald eagles, bears, puffins, sea otters and much more.
Icy Strait Point
For thousands of years, the Tlingit Indians have called this place home. Located near the city of Hoonah, and home to a historic cannery, Icy Strait Point also offers travelers the chance to view wildlife like humpback whales, orcas, seals, eagles, and brown bears, or to explore monuments to the region's fishing heritage.
Hubbard Glacier
Marvel as you cruise up to Hubbard Glacier, perfect no matter what the weather. On clear days, Hubbard turns a stunning deep blue and on cloudy ones, its many ripples and icebergs shimmer in soft light. Among all the vanishing Alaska glaciers, Hubbard has a rapidly advancing ice margin— up to seven feet in one day—earning it the nickname, “the Galloping Glacier.”
Juneau
Cruise to Juneau and visit the most remote, most beautiful, and strangest state capital in the United States. Surrounded by water, forest and mountain sights, visitors seeking things to do in Juneau indoors and outdoors can hike a glacier, eat fresh-caught fish on a seaside patio and tour a grand capitol building all in one day.
Ketchikan
Surrounded by soaring peaks and green forests, Ketchikan clings to the shoreline of the Tongass Narrows, with shops and houses built out over the water. Ketchikan is one of the best spots along the Inside Passage to explore the rich cultural sights of Native Alaskan nations and you can see intricately carved totem poles at the Totem Heritage Center and Totem Bight State Park. Make sure to leave time to explore the sights in the town itself, including historic Creek Street, a boardwalk built over the Ketchikan Creek, where you can shop for souvenirs, smoked salmon, and local art.
Inside Passage
Enjoy another day of scenic cruising as you sail back down the Inside Passage. Make sure you enjoy one last meal at your favourite onboard restaurant. With a wide variety of restaurants to choose from and an array of bars and lounges, a voyage with Celebrity Cruises takes you on a culinary journey like no other.
Fly Home
Your adventures in Canada and Alaska have come to an end. Transfer independently to Vancouver International Airport for your flight home.
