Wildlife and culture in an intimate setting
Klahoose Wilderness Resort is an Indigenous-owned resort, located on the water’s edge in the temperate rainforest between British Columbia’s Salish Sea and the Coastal Mountains. Located in the heart of Klahoose Nation traditional territory, the resort reflects the welcoming spirits and cultural traditions exclusive to these immersive connections with nature and wildlife.
Led by Klahoose guides you will enjoy an eco-adventure tour from May through August looking for the abundant and varied wildlife that call this region home. From late-August until mid-October is prime viewing time for Grizzly Bears as they feast on the salmon that return to the area to spawn. Tours travel up the nearby Toba Inlet which offers one of the best bear viewing experiences in British Columbia. From fixed bear viewing platforms you will hear their heavy breaths mingle with the rushing water - it is an exhilarating and truly amazing spectacle that only a select few will have the privilege of seeing.
