On the lower slopes of the mountain, the Tunnel Mountain Resort offers a more secluded base for your Banff holiday, but is still a manageable walk or short drive into the lively town centre.
Accommodation ranges from Executive Suites, one-bedroom condos and suites with lovely patio/balcony areas and full kitchens, the more spacious loft chalets and suites with upstairs mezzanine bedrooms, to the free-standing Mountain Cabins. All offer plenty of space with a welcoming feel.
The hotel has an indoor pool and two jacuzzis, as well as a steam room, sauna, fitness room, children’s playground and outdoor barbeque facilities.

In the area
Banff and the Rocky Mountains provide some spectacular hiking trails in summer. The contrast between the grey mountain peaks and their flower-filled slopes is beautiful, while the bluer than blue lakes and rivers are just mesmerising. A hike up Tunnel Mountain past the resort provides a fantastic view of Banff in its entirety, while a stroll down the hill will bring you to the busy town centre.
Banff has many museums and galleries to explore as well as great shopping and restaurants. A busy calendar of festivals and events gives it a lively, friendly atmosphere, while the range of outdoor activities will certainly keep you busy.
