In the area
The hotel is just a five minute stroll into the heart of Banff which is a pleasant place to browse around, with a wide range of shops and several art galleries.
There are a great many hiking and biking trails in the area, including a fairly easy climb up Tunnel Mountain leading to some fantastic views of Banff and the Bow River, and a moderate hike up Sulphur Mountain to the south of town for spectacular views from the other direction. Save your legs and take the Banff Gondola back down the mountain, or reward yourself with a soak in the rejuvenating Upper Hot Springs.
