In the area
Being inside a mall leaves you in shopping heaven, while a few minutes’ walk out of the centre will bring you to the pretty central plaza of Sir Winston Churchill Square and the Art Gallery of Alberta. The gallery is a spectacular feat of architecture in itself, but also houses a fantastic collection of historical and contemporary paintings.
Across the river are the iconic pyramid structures of the Muttart Conservatory, a colourful and tranquil display of plants and flowers, while the surrounding Gallagher Park is a lovely place to meander and also host to several music festivals and events.
