In the area
A stroll down Granville Street will take you into the heart of Port Hardy, a historical seaside town with a rich First Nations heritage. Take a tour around the streets and spot the chainsaw wood carvings and Totems throughout the town or browse through the many galleries and studios displaying the talents of residents old and new.
The area is also rich in wildlife and Black Bears can often be glimpsed along the highway or feeding on the river banks. You can also hop on a floatplane to the shores of the mainland to see Grizzly Bears splashing in the shallows hunting for salmon.
