We would highly recommend you have travel insurance as medical treatment in North America can be very expensive.
It's important to note that due to health risks for women in the later stages of pregnancy, certain air travel restrictions apply. You should also pay particular attention to your return date in order to respect the restrictions that apply to flying during pregnancy.
Weeks of pregnancy:
- Up to 35 – Carried on Air Transat flights without restriction
- From 36 to 38 – Must present a doctor’s certificate issued within 24 hours prior to departure.
- From 39 on – Will not be carried on any Air Transat Flight
