How long have you been a Canada travel expert?
I have been a Canada expert for 2 years and 4 months (but have worked in the industry for 33 years).
Where have you visited in Canada?
I have been to, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake, Calgary, Banff, Kamloops, Vancouver, White horse, Dawson City, Haines Junction (and Chicken in Alaska). I've travelled through the Rocky Mountains on the Rocky Mountaineer train and have ventured on a Motorhome holiday in the Yukon.
What is your favourite destination in Canada?
My favourite destination in Canada is Niagara on the Lake. I have been in winter and at the end of summer, it's an amazing place. A must visit is the Christmas shop and I'd recommend a drink in the Prince of Wales Hotel, I had a very nice Churchill Coffee which definitely warmed me up it had brandy, amaretto and baileys in it.
What was your favourite experience in Canada?
I have quite a few favourite experiences in Canada but if I had to name one it would have to be seeing the Northern lights in Dawson City, they were amazing.

Where would you recommend for a first time visit to Canada?
For a first time visit Toronto is perfect, it has lots of amazing attractions and has very good shopping. It's also very diverse and offers something for everyone.
What's a hidden gem in Canada?
My hidden gem is the food court in the Eaton Center, it has so much choice and prices are very reasonable. We ate there a few times I can vouch for the sushi at Sushi Q and the Bourbon Grill, both were delicious. It’s a perfect stop to rest your weary legs after all that shopping.
What is your top tip for a Canada Holiday?
My top tip for Canada is to try and not fit everything in on a first trip. It is a country that once you have been I can guarantee you will want to visit again and again, it has my heart.
