Banff
Arrive at Calgary International Airport, pick up your hire car and head straight for the mountains! Your destination is the charming mountain town of Banff which is just 90 minutes away. Here you will have two free days to explore the many attractions in and around the town. So, relax in the historic Hot Springs, head up Sulphur Mountain on a scenic gondola ride to enjoy incredible views of the 6 surrounding mountain ranges that surround the town or stroll the riverside path to the beautiful Bow Falls.

Yoho National Park
Drive up the Bow Valley Parkway to Lake Louise, stopping at the many scenic attractions along the way such as Johnstone Canyon and Morant’s Curve lookout. Enjoy lunch with a view at the iconic Lake Louise before continuing on to the spectacular Yoho National Park, making stops at Natural Bridge on the way to your accommodation situated on the edge of the sparkling Emerald Lake.

Salmon Arm
On todays drive west, you will be surrounded by spectacular scenery as you pass through Glacier and Revelstoke National Parks. We recommend making a stop at the Golden Skybridge, home to Canada’s highest suspension bridge. As you walk 426 feet above an expansive canyon, engulfed by the Columbia Valley, the epic views of the Rocky and Purcell mountain ranges will take your breath away. Your destination is the small community of Salmon Arm, located on the shore of Shuswap Lake, with a long, curved wooden wharf and sandy beaches.

Whistler
Continue west and watch as the scenery changes from lush lakeside forests to desert-like scrub, and to the snow forested peaks of the Pacific Coastal Mountain range. The next day is free to allow you to explore Whistler, a vibrant year-round resort nestled amongst the mountains. Stroll the pedestrian downtown, which is home to fabulous restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops, take the gondola up Whistler Mountain and enjoy breath-taking views or join a bear-watching tour to go in search of local Black bears.

Vancouver
Drive the famous Sea-to-Sky Highway, a stunning drive with the soaring Coastal Mountains on one side and blue waters of Howe Sound on the other. Although it’s only 2 hours from Whistler to Vancouver, be prepared for this drive to take all day as there are plenty of attractions off the highway such as Brandywine Falls, Alice Lake, and the Britannia Mine Museum. You then have a free day to explore Vancouver, we recommend taking a stroll round Stanley Park before catching an aquabus over to Granville Island to discover a world of food, art, and shopping.

Princess Cruises
Arrive independently at the cruise terminal in Vancouver’s picturesque Canada Place ready to board your cruise to Alaska with Princess Cruises.
*This is a sample itinerary that may vary by sailing date.

At Sea
Your first day is at sea as you sail north towards Alaska so take time to explore the ship. There’s always something happening on board — from heading to the Princess Theatre for a lavish original musical production to enjoying a blockbuster movie poolside under the stars. Or perhaps indulge in a manicure, pedicure or a makeover in the salon, or a soothing massage in the Lotus Spa.

Juneau
Juneau is unlike any other city in the United States. With no roads connecting it to the rest of Alaska or North America, it is truly a protected destination. Founded as a gold mining town and now the state’s capital, Juneau has one foot in history and one in the future. Embark on a whale watching tour, or sail past Mendenhall Glacier on an Alaska cruise.

Skagway
Once the gateway to Alaska's Gold Rush, Skagway strikes a dramatic image nestled between the water's edge and mountains. Follow in the footsteps of miners with a ride on a scenic train along the famous White Pass route through coastal mountains. During your Alaska cruise, explore the Yukon's pristine wilderness, pan for gold with professionals or meet sled dog puppies in training.

Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier
On this day of scenic cruising, you will sail up Endicott Arm, a jewel in Alaska’s crown. This 30-mile waterway is surrounded by cliffs, valleys, and dozens of waterfalls. Icebergs and harbour seals decorate the water below while Dawes Glacier soars into the sky above. Revel in the beauty of Mother Nature’s masterpiece and listen closely as the scenery whispers secrets of times long ago during your cruise to Alaska.

Ketchikan
Known for its timber, Ketchikan hosts the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show, where athletes throw, race, and chop their way to victory. Explore one of the world’s oldest collections of totem poles at the Totem Pole Heritage Center or stroll along Creek Street. As the salmon capital of the world, Ketchikan’s waters make for incredible fishing. Cast your rod into a sea of opportunity on a cruise to Alaska.

Inside Passage
Sit back and relax as you cruise the famed Inside Passage, a spectacular route through a protected network of waterways, featuring glacier-cut fjords, lush rainforests, and diverse wildlife. Now’s the time to revisit your favourite restaurant, Princess Cruises is committed to serving mouthwatering, handcrafted dishes made from scratch so it’s sure to be a difficult choice!

Fly Home
Disembark you cruise in Vancouver. After some last-minute sightseeing and shopping, transfer independently to Vancouver International Airport for your flight home.
