Day 1-2
Halifax
Begin your holiday in Halifax, Nova Scotia’s vibrant capital and gateway to the Canadian Maritimes. Stroll the waterfront, explore the Citadel, and enjoy fresh Atlantic seafood. Popular excursions include Peggy’s Cove, Lunenburg or seeing the city from the water. A perfect blend of culture, coastal charm, and urban energy before heading into New Brunswick.
Day 3
Moncton
Pick up your car from downtown Halifax and head over to New Brunswick. Stop at Monument-Lefebvre National Historic Site on your way to Moncton as an introduction to Acadian culture. Moncton offers fun for all ages with attractions like Magnetic Hill and the tidal bore on the Petitcodiac River. The city’s growing downtown features restaurants, galleries, and shops.
Day 4
Hopewell Cape
Marvel at the famous Hopewell Rocks, sculpted by the world’s highest tides in the Bay of Fundy. Walk the ocean floor at low tide or kayak around towering flowerpot formations at high tide. An unforgettable natural phenomenon and a must-see on any New Brunswick adventure. Included is your admission allowing you to visit at both low and high tide.
Day 5
Fundy National Park
Today, experience pristine wilderness, coastal cliffs, waterfalls, and over 100 km of hiking trails. Fundy National Park offers rich biodiversity, scenic viewpoints, and opportunities for canoeing, and wildlife spotting. Continue to St. Martins through the Fundy Trail Parkway for an incredibly scenic drive along the coast.
Day 6
St. Martins
St. Martins charms with its covered bridges, dramatic cliffs, and sea caves. A guided kayak tour takes you through these spectacular formations at high tide for a unique coastal adventure. Afterwards, stroll the beach, visit local shops, and enjoy fresh seafood with ocean views.
Day 7
Saint John
Canada’s oldest incorporated city blends heritage and modern culture. Explore the historic Uptown, visit the Reversing Falls Rapids, and wander the Saint John City Market. With coastal walks, museums, and a lively food scene, Saint John is a dynamic port city full of character.
Day 8-9
St. Andrews
A picturesque seaside town rich in history and natural beauty. Explore Kingsbrae Garden, enjoy whale-watching cruises, and wander Water Street’s boutiques. Visit Ministers Island at low tide or relax by the harbour. You will have time to visit the Roosevelt Campobello International Park or Grand Manan. Day 10
Fredericton
New Brunswick’s capital combines riverside beauty with cultural flair. Visit the Historic Garrison District, wander through local art galleries, or stroll along the scenic walking trails. With a thriving craft beer scene and lively festivals, Fredericton offers a relaxed but engaging urban stop on your route.
Day 11-12
Caraquet
Dive into Acadian culture in Caraquet, a coastal town with strong French roots. Visit the Village Historique Acadien, where costumed interpreters bring Acadian history to life. Enjoy seafood, beaches, and vibrant local traditions in one of New Brunswick’s most culturally rich regions.
Day 13
Kouchibouguac National Park
Explore diverse landscapes including salt marshes, dunes, forests, and lagoons. Go hiking or cycling and relax on warm sandy beaches. A marine safari offers the chance to spot grey seals and seabirds up close. Kouchibouguac is a peaceful escape into nature and coastal wildlife.
Day 14
Fly Home
Today marks the end of your holiday. Enjoy a scenic coastal drive on your way to Halifax airport. Stop in Shediac, nicknamed the Lobster Capital of the World for a photo with the giant lobster and a delicious seafood lunch. Continue through forested landscapes and some charming villages of Nova Scotia, before returning your hire car and catching your flight back to the UK.
