Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Halifax

From Halifax Airport, collect your car hire and drive to your downtown hotel. Pick-up your Jonview Canada Travel Kit. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Halifax.

Day 2 Halifax

A full day is yours to independently explore Halifax’s proud maritime heritage. Overnight in Halifax.

Day 3 Halifax to Western Shore (79 KM)

Travel west along the Nova Scotia coast through the outlying skirts of Halifax. Overnight in Western Shore.

Day 4 Western Shore (165 KM)

Spend the day exploring this delightful area. You can observe Humpback and Fin Whales as they play off Tancook Island. Overnight in Western Shore.

Day 5 Western Shore to Digby (193 KM)

Head west and cross the heart of Nova Scotia. Arrive in Digby, famous for its scallops, on the southern shores of the Bay of Fundy. Overnight in Digby.

Day 6 Digby to Truro (300 KM)

Drive along Nova Scotia’s northern shore and admire the Bay of Fundy, world-famous for its extreme tides. Overnight in Truro.

Day 7 Truro to Charlottetown (130 KM)

Make your way to Pictou, the “Birthplace of New Scotland”. Arrive in the charming city of Charlottetown. Overnight in Charlottetown.

Day 8 Charlottetown

Your day is at leisure to explore the Victorian homes and elegant squares of Charlottetown. Overnight in Charlottetown.

Day 9 Charlottetown to Antigonish (160 KM)

Return to Nova Scotia via the Northumberland Strait, and drive through tranquil scenery and small communities. Overnight in Antigonish.

Day 10 Antigonish to Baddeck (141 KM)

Depart your hotel and soon arrive near the tip of St.Georges Bay. Arrive in Baddeck, the gateway to the Cape Breton Highlands. Overnight in Baddeck.

Day 11 Baddeck

Today, we suggest a scenic drive along the Cabot Trail into the highlands of Northern Cape Breton. Overnight in Baddeck.

Day12 Baddeck to West Bay (86 KM)

Continue southbound, passing charming maritime communities. You arrive in West Bay at the southwest tip of the lake. Overnight in West Bay.

Day 13 West Bay to Liscombe Mills (226 KM)

Travel through Port Hawksbury and over the Canso Causeway connecting eastern and western Nova Scotia. Overnight in Liscombe Mills.

Day 14 Liscombe Mills to Halifax (175 KM)

Make your way to the Liscombe Game Sanctuary to observe an abundance of wildlife. Follow the Marine Drive back to the airport for your return flight home.

Please note: Park entrance fees, bridge tolls, ferry charges (between Caribou, Nova Scotia and Wood Islands, Prince Edwards Island) are not included and payable locally. Ferry schedules are included in documentation.
