Itinerary
Day 1 Toronto
Landing in Toronto, collect your car hire and head downtown. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring the city. We recommend taking the time for ice skating in Nathan Phillips Square under the iconic 3D Toronto sign
Day 2 Niagara Falls Day Trip
This morning travel down to Niagara Falls through the scenic Niagara Peninsula. On this full day sightseeing tour of Niagara youcan take in the breathtaking Niagara Falls on the 'Journey Behind the Falls' attraction. Enjoy free time in Niagara Falls and a winery tour inclouding wine tasting bvefore returniong to Toronto. Lunch overlooking the falls is included.
Day 3 Toronto to Algonquin Provincial Park
Depart Toronto for the 4 ½ hour journey to arrive at the Algonquin Log Cabin Lodge at 12:30pm where lunch awaits. After the hot lunch, you will spend the afternoon exploring Surprise Lake on snowshoes. A tasty dinner in front of the wood stove completes the day.
Day 4 Algonquin Provincial Park
Enjoy a hearty Canadian Breakfast before you learn or refresh your back-country ski skills, ready to cross Surprise Lake and the island circuit. You will glide through the hemlock forest trails and enjoy the silence of the snow laden forest. Return for a lunch of steaming hot soup, warm beer, bread and salad. The afternoon has options to ski or snowshoe the highlands of the Kettle Lake/Cardiac Hill; to ski to the heated wall tent down Surprise Lake, or to relax and grab a book in front of the fire. Sauna and cocktails before another home cooked feast to finish the day.
Day 5 Algonquin Provincial Park to Blue Mountain
This morning harnesses, gee and ha and gang lines are just a few of the expressions you learn in the dogsled orientation before mushing your own team of huskies on a day trip. Enjoy lunch on the trail and return to the dog yard at approximately 3pm. Once un-hooked make your way to Blue Mountain.
Day 6 - 9 Blue Mountain
Today explore all this fantastic mountain resort has to offer. with 365 acres of ski-able terrain why not hire some skis and explore the mountain. Or off the slopes why not take time to revel in the array of winter activites such as tubing, skating, snowmobiling or a horse-drawn sleigh ride.
Day 10 Blue Mountain to Toronto
Depart Blue Mountain and head south to Toronto for your flight back to the UK
