Day 1 Banff
Upon arrival at Calgary International Airport meet your scheduled transfer and make your way to the town site of Banff in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Overnight Banff
Day 2 Banff
Explore the rugged beauty of Banff National Park, a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site, rich in history and spectacular mountain scenery. Explore Banff Village and the array of shops that now fill Banff Avenue showcasing how Banff has grown from a whistle-stop to a tourism hub in the province of Alberta. Take in the views from Sulphur Mountain after a 12-minute gondola ride to the top before heading the Banff Upper Hot Springs offering a modern spa with outdoor pools referencing back to the original history of the town site when in 1883 three railway workers discovered a natural hot spring thus creating Banff National Park. Day 3 Banff to Lake Louise
Lake Louise, home of one of the world’s most photographed lakes, offers spectacular scenery as well as history. This glacier fed lake is a stunning turquoise colour made so by the rock flour carried into the lake by melt-water from the glaciers that overlook the lake, including Victoria Glacier which can be viewed from the shores of the lake. Hike one of the many trails around the lake or take a horse ride up to the Lake Agnes Tea House located in a lovely hanging valley on the shores of Lake Agnes, that together with Lake Louise and Mirror Lake are referred to as the ‘Lakes in the Clouds’. Day 4 Rocky Mountaineer Banff to Kamloops

Day 5 Rocky Mountaineer Kamloops to Vancouver

Day 6 Vancouver
Rich in culture and history Vancouver offers plenty to see and do. Explore downtown’s Stanley Park, with its old growth cedar forests surrounded by sea views and sandy beaches hop on a water taxi to Granville Island Market. Day 7 Embark Princess Cruise
Head down to Vancouver’s Canada Place to board your Princess cruise. And say farewell to downtown as you set sail on your Alaskan Adventure.
Day 8 At Sea
The Inside Passage is famed for its glacier-carved fjords and pristine forested shores. Whales, dolphins and other marine life as well as bald eagles and tufted puffins can be seen from the decks of your ship. Cascading waterfalls and majestic snow-capped mountains will have you captured at every turn.
Day 9 Ketchikan
Be captivated by Ketchikan’s thriving native culture, home to the world’s oldest collection of totem poles at Totem Heritage Centre as well as three south eastern groups, the Haida, Tlingit and Tsimshian. Take in the dramatic beauty of Misty Fjords National Monument encompassing 2 million acres of granite cliffs, 1,000-foot waterfalls and crystalline lakes.
Day 10 Juneau
Welcome to the state capital Juneau surrounded by beautiful glaciers and stunning views of mountains and waterways. View the Mendenhall Glacier at 12miles long, half a mile wide and 200-1,800 feet deep. Juneau offers opportunities for whale watching, glacier flightseeing as well as dog sledding.
Day 11 Skagway
Skagway was the gateway to the gold fields for those who flocked north in search of riches. The White Pass route through the Coast Mountains as well as the Chilkoot Trail were used by countless stampeders and many would perish in their journey for gold. Today Skagway reflects that gold rush era in Broadway where false fronts have been attached to buildings and saloons house locals dressed up in period costumes to recreate the gold rush buzz. Today you can journey the White Pass on the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad linking Skagway with Yukon, Canada as well as panning for gold at the camps to experience what life was like during the boom-town days.
Day 12 Glacier Bay
Princess cruises are one of a select few cruise lines permitted to journey the waters of Glacier Bay. This national park and reserve boasts some of the world’s most spectacular tidewater glaciers. Glacier Bay National Park are part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Park Rangers will join the ship to share their knowledge and help identify the areas abundant wildlife and glaciers.
Day 13 College Fjord (Scenic Cruising)
Named by the college professors who found College Fjord, this area features snow-capped mountains and tidewater glaciers. Here you’ll hear the rumble of the ice moving prior to seeing enormous slices of ice calve away into the sea as it makes a thunderous splash. As well as witnessing the ice calving you may also get the chance to see one of the area’s humpback whales feeding in the fjord.
Day 14 Alaska Railroad Whittier to Anchorage
Approximately 65 miles southeast of Anchorage, Whittier lies at the base of the Chugach Mountains bordering Passage Canal. Established in World War II as a port for cargo and troops Whittier remained activated until 1960. Today Whittier’s community relies on the fishing industry as well as the increasing trade in tourism. After disembarking the cruise explore the surrounding area of Whittier prior to boarding the Alaska Railroad. The first 12 miles of this journey will take you from Whittier to Portage, through two long tunnels. Once in Portage the train tracks join the mainline taking you on to Anchorage covering 50 miles along the rocky bank of the Turnagain. Overnight Anchorage.
Day 15 End of tour
This morning purchase those last-minute souvenirs in this tax-free haven prior to making your way to Ted Steven’s Airport for your flight back to the UK.

Any traveller who fails to complete an ESTA application at least 3 days before departure will almost certainly be refused entry into the country under new US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
