Best time to visit Jasper
For holidays in Jasper, Alberta, summer is usually the most popular season amongst travellers wanting to explore the unspoiled wilderness of the park. Between June and August, the days are long and sunny, and temperatures can reach 22°C. This is the perfect time of the year to enjoy outdoor activities, such as hiking, canoeing, and mountain biking.
If you want to escape the crowds during your holiday to Jasper, and still enjoy the great outdoors, you should visit Jasper in early Autumn. The weather in September through October is still mild and the fall foliage is magical. Expect temperatures of up to 10°C - 16°C in the daytime.
December is when the winter season begins in Jasper with lows of -15°C in January. The ski season is in its peak and along with skiing and snowboarding on the slopes, there is a great range of other snow activities you can look forward to, such as snowmobiling and ice fishing.
Spring comes in March and temperatures start gradually increasing. If you want to enjoy skiing in the low season, consider visiting Jasper between March and early April. As the weather gets warmer in May, the mountain meadows get covered in wildflower blooms and some popular hiking trails re-open.

Jasper SkyTram is the longest and highest guided aerial tramway in Canada and the only guided aerial ropeway in the Canadian Rockies.
