Spirit Bear Lodge is nestled on the island of Klemtu, in the heart of British Columbia’s Great Bear Rainforest and offers you the best chance to see these rare and elusive animals in the wild. Day 1
Vancouver
Arrive at Vancouver International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. Spend the rest of your day enjoying the delights of this bustling city.
Day 2
Spirit Bear Lodge
Depart Vancouver South Terminal on Pacific Coastal Airlines scheduled service flight to Bella Bella where you are met and assisted with a van transfer to the Bella Bella town docks. The Spirit Bear Lodge boat will pick you up at the dock at for the scenic boat ride to Klemtu and Spirit Bear Lodge for an afternoon arrival. After checking in and a welcome orientation, take the time to settle in and relax or explore the village of Klemtu.
Day 3
Spirit Bear Lodge
For each day of your stay, after breakfast, you will meet your engaging guides on the dock for a full day of wildlife viewing adventure. The activities may include wildlife/bear viewing,
whale watching, kayaking, hiking, canoeing or a cultural site visit.
Day 4
Spirit Bear Lodge
Enjoy another full day of wildlife viewing adventure. No matter what wildlife you see, you will always be amazed by the stunning scenery of the Great Bear Rainforest as you visit estuaries, stunning inlets and see spectacular waterfalls.
Day 5
Spirit Bear Lodge
Your final full day of wildlife viewing adventure awaits! Each evening at Spirit Bear Lodge you will be treated to a sumptuous dinner, served family style on long communal tables and so by now you will be on first name terms with all of the others guests! Share stories of what adventures you have had over the last few days over a local wine or beer.
Day 6-7
Vancouver
After breakfast, pack up and depart the lodge by 08:00 to enjoy a scenic boat ride back to Bella Bella of serenity in the Great Bear Rainforest. Arrive in Bella Bella in time to take your Pacific Coastal Airlines afternoon flight back to Vancouver. The next day is free to explore this enchanting coastal city so take a stroll round Stanley Park, head over to Granville Island to discover a world of food, art and culture or take a shuttle bus over to the North Shore and the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 70 metres over the Capilano River.
Day 8
Fly Home
Your Canadian adventure has come to an end. Enjoy som elast minute shopping and sightseeing and then transfer independently to Vancouver International Airport for your flight home.
