Day 1
Calgary
Arrive at Calgary International Airport, pick up your hire car and head downtown for a 1-night stay at Fairmont Palliser. An icon in the heart of Calgary downtown, Fairmont Palliser has been welcoming guests for over 110 years, and is renowned for its luxurious accommodations, exceptional dining and impeccable service.
Day 2
Kananaskis
In the morning leave Calgary and head west, marvel as you leave the prairie behind and head towards the majestic Rocky Mountains. You will stay for 2 nights at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge by Autograph Marriott, a completely modern resort nestled amidst the pines where luxury and mountain living blends seamlessly. Every evening guests gather on the patio around an authentic Canadian campfire to connect with the great outdoors.
Day 3
Kananaskis
Spend the day enjoying the facilities of the lodge, strolling the trails through the extensive forest grounds or relaxing in the Kananaskis Nordic Spa. Surrounded by alpine forest and rugged mountain peaks, deep in Alberta’s Kananaskis Country, this spa takes a bold approach to the Nordic spa tradition and grabs its inspiration from the invigorating elements of the Canadian outdoors.
Day 4
Banff
It’s only a short drive to Banff so spend the day exploring the surrounding attractions of Banff National Park. Visit Bow Falls and Two Jack Viewpoint, which is close to Lake Minnewanka where cruises sail the cool blue waters in the summer. Be sure to take a journey on the Banff Gondola, which takes you up Sulphur Mountain to enjoy breathtaking views over Banff and the surrounding mountain ranges. End the day at the Fairmont Banff Springs, an iconic castle in the heart of Banff National Park, where you will spend 2 nights.
Day 5
Banff
Journey up to Lake Louise, on the Bow Valley Parkway, stopping at viewpoints over Morant’s Curve and Castle Mountain and taking a walk at Johnstone Canyon to see spectacular waterfalls. Stop for lunch at Lake Louise, one of the most photographed lakes in the world. You’ll understand why when you see the turquoise lake, with the distant mountains and Victoria Glacier providing the perfect backdrop. Back at the Fairmont Banff Springs in the evening, dine at the Rundle Patio, named the ‘Best Patio in Canada’ in 2024 for its breathtaking view of the Canadian Rockies.
Day 6
Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops
Travel on board the Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops, in the heart of British Columbia's interior. From inside Rocky Mountaineer's signature glass dome carriages you will see dramatic changes in scenery as you travel from the snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Travelling in GoldLeaf Service, enjoy elegantly plated meals prepared with local ingredients, award-winning service, an exclusive outdoor viewing platform and expansive views through the panoramic windows of a bi-level glass-dome coach.
Day 7
Rocky Mountaineer to Vancouver
Step back on-board Rocky Mountaineer as you continue west towards the Pacific Ocean. On today's journey you will see more changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the B.C. interior through winding river canyons, past the thrashing waters of Hells Gate, and through the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley before arriving in the world-class city of Vancouver. A transfer will take you to the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, a pinnacle of elegance since its opening in 1939, when a visit by the British royal couple sealed its reputation as one of the most iconic luxury hotels in Vancouver.
Day 8
Vancouver
The next two days are yours to explore this enchanting coastal city. Today, take a stroll round Stanley Park, head over to Granville Island to discover a world of food, art and culture or take flight at Flyover Canada. Spend your evening back at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and the glamourous Notch8 Restaurant & Bar which pays homage to the hotel’s storied history and legacy as a luxury hotel along the Canadian Pacific Railway.
Day 9
Vancouver
Another day in Vancouver awaits, but there’s still plenty to explore! Catch a shuttle bus over to the North Shore and the famous Capilano Suspension Bridge, hanging 70 metres over the Capilano River. Then stroll the historic district of Gastown, which is home to fabulous restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops. During the summer months, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver hosts a Garden Party Afternoon Tea where you can indulge in an array of handcrafted pastries, delicate finger foods, and refreshing teas surrounded by pastel blossoms, cascading florals, and charming garden décor.
Day 10
Whistler
A private transfer will take you up the Sea-to-Sky Highway to Whistler where you will spend 2 nights at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. Nestled at the foot of Blackcomb Mountain, Fairmont Chateau Whistler is perfectly located to access the pedestrian downtown, which is home to fabulous restaurants and bars, and for catching the gondola up Whistler Mountain to enjoy breath-taking mountain views. Dine this evening at The Grill Room, located in the hotel and Whistler's AAA/CAA Four Diamond-rated restaurant destination for chops, steak and seafood.
Day 11
Whistler
In the morning, you can join a bear-watching tour to go in search of local Black bears and then spend the rest of the day at the Scandinavian Spa, encircled by Whistler’s old-growth rainforest and rugged Coast Mountain views. Root yourself in complete silence and a digital detox while journeying through cycles of hot, cold and relaxation installations spread over 25,000 square feet.
Day 12
Sonora Resort
A private transfer will take you to Vancouver Airport South Terminal in time for a flight to Sonora Resort, a luxury, wilderness retreat on the rugged west coast of BC. Explore this magnificent island before savouring a Canadian gastronomic experience in the Tyee Dining Room. Plan for tomorrow’s adventure; pre-book excursions or consult with resort staff upon arrival for a custom activity itinerary.
Day 13
Sonora Resort
Embark on a thrilling 1-hour Eco-Adventure Tour aboard an 8.53m Zodiac boat, accompanied by your knowledgeable wilderness guide. Zip around the Discovery Islands for exceptional views of marine wildlife in its natural habitat and rugged B.C. coastline as your guide offers informative narration through a headset system. Later, perhaps embark on an excursion to explore the abundant, untouched wilderness of British Columbia. In the evening, sit down to a gourmet dinner and sip a fine wine or mingle with other guests in the lounge or games room.
Day 14
Fly Home
After breakfast, explore this magnificent island and the resort’s many indoor and outdoor amenities. Reel in a rainbow trout at the trout ponds, or dip your paddle in a serene forest lake or for a quieter moment, join a yoga class or slip into the soothing mineral pools. Savour a delicious lunch before departing the resort for your journey back to Vancouver in time for your international flight home.
