Itinerary
Day 1 Fly to Toronto
Arrive at Toronto Pearson International airport and make your way to your downtown hotel. Today is yours to explore this great cosmopolitan city. Visit the CN Tower to take in breath-taking views of the city and surrounding areas and dare to walk on the glass floor. Spend the rest of your day shopping and taking in some of the sights before spending the night in Toronto
Day 2 – Thunder Bay
Check in for your internal flight to Thunder Bay (suggested arrival time is 11:00). You will be met & transferred to the Thunder Bay hotel by a Wilderness North representative. Enjoy dinner on the waterfront, then set sail on Lake Superior at sunset with a guided cruise. A gentle sailboat tour of Thunder Bay’s harbour and surrounding area. Halfway through the tour, the anchor is set, passengers are welcome to open their own bottle of wine, sample an assortment cheeses, crisps, olives and local chocolates and watch the sunset. Dinner included. Overnight in Thunder Bay.
Day 3 to 6 – Miminiska Lodge
Transfer to the airport for a private flight aboard a jet from Thunder Bay to Miminiska Lodge runway. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your hosts, check in to your accommodation & have a welcome orientation in the main lodge. Craft your perfect wilderness adventure for the next 4 days. Guided activities include paddle excursions (canoe/kayak), hiking, fishing (lake, river, and night fishing), First Nations interpretive explorations of the land and history, arts and crafts, yoga, and stargazing. Independent activities such as stand-up paddling, a natural sauna, bonfires, and nightly entertainment are also part of the experience. 4 night at Miminiska Lodge.
Day 7 –Miminiska Lodge to Winnipeg
After breakfast, depart the lodge by private jet and enjoy a scenic flight back to Thunder Bay International Airport. Breakfast included. Make your way to Thunder Bay Airport for your internal flight to Winnipeg. On arrival transfer independently to your hotel, the rest of the evening is at leisure. Winnipeg is a great place to visit with a range of attractions and activities throughout the seasons, and excellent shopping. Overnight Winnipeg
Day 8 Winnipeg
Spend the morning exploring this bustling and cultural city in the midst of the Manitoba prairies. Visit the stunning Canadian Museum of Human Rights, who hosts many of the city’s best events at its amphitheatre and festival stage. Your holiday has come to an end make your back to Winnipeg airport for your return flight home.
