Day 1-2
Banff
Arrive in Calgary and step aboard your transfer bus to begin your journey west into the majestic Canadian Rockies. As the plains give way to towering peaks, you will arrive in the iconic mountain town of Banff. Spend the next 2 days exploring the best of Banff National Park, from forest trails and waterfalls to glacier fed lakes and natural hot springs.
Day 3
CMH - Bugaboo Lodge
Leave the crowds behind and venture deep into the backcountry with Canadian Mountain Holidays. Accessible only by air, the Bugaboo Lodge offers an unforgettable immersion in nature, offering guided hiking, heli accessed adventures, vast untouched mountain landscapes and gourmet meals in the cozy lodge. You will be transferred in the morning by coach and helicopter, have time to get settled in your room and after lunch, enjoy your first hike exploring the mountains.
Day 4
CMH - Bugaboo Lodge
Days at the lodge start with an optional dynamic warm up class before a hearty breakfast. Pack your lunch for your day of adventure. Your guides will plan each day’s excursions according to your preferred activity types and ability. However you choose to experience the surrounding wilderness, you’ll be creating memories that will stay with you forever. In the evenings enjoy a delectable three-course dinner made with the finest ingredients and paired with wines from the well-stocked cellar.
Day 5
CMH - Bugaboo Lodge
Another day of adventure awaits as you choose from hiking or a via ferrata. Guests of the lodge are split into small groups of similar activity level so you can choose how adventurous you wish to be during your stay. Fly into the mountains for your day of adventure and have lunch in the field, surrounded by the towering peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Upon your return to the lodge, you can enjoy après adventure refreshments on the deck, a soak in the hot tub or a rejuvenating massage.
Day 6
Yoho National Park
Depart the lodge by heli transfer back to Banff where you will collect your rental car & return to the road and continue into Yoho National Park, a hidden of the Rockies. Take in the dramatic cascade of Takakkaw Falls and the jewel toned waters of Emerald Lake. Settle into the peaceful Emerald Lake Lodge for a tranquil evening.
Day 7-8
Salmon Arm
Travel west into British Columbia’s interior, arriving at the serene shores of Shuswap Lake in Salmon Arm, enjoy a slower pace and relax by the lake or take to the water by kayak or paddle board. Visit local wineries and cafes. Enjoy warm evenings and stunning sunsets across the rolling hills.
Day 9-10
Whistler
Journey along scenic mountain routes to Whistler, one of North America’s premier resort destinations. Whilst here grab the chance to experience the spectacular Peak 2 Peak Gondola as well as hiking, biking or simply just exploring the vibrant pedestrianised village. The village offers exceptional dining options as well as a lively atmosphere.
Day 11
Sechelt
Travel along the breathtaking Sea to Sky highway before crossing by ferry to the laid-back coastal town of Sechelt. Here the pace slows once more, think oceanfront walks, quiet beaches and forested inlets. A true taste of coastal British Columbia.
Day 12
Klahoose Wilderness Lodge
Journey into the heart of Desolation Sound where a boat transfer awaits to take you from Lund to Klahoose Wilderness Resort. Upon arrival, you will meet your hosts for the next 4 nights and have an opportunity to plan your activities for your stay. Embark on several adventures and transformational experiences that may include watching grizzly bears fish for salmon, kayaking beside a pod of porpoises and forest hikes into an ancient western red cedar grove.
Day 13
Klahoose Wilderness Lodge
During the spring, Indigenous guides will take you on a Cultural and Wildlife Tour, exploring Desolation Sound watching for marine-life such as Humpback Whales and Orca and for Grizzly and Black Bears that are feeding on shore. In the fall the Klahoose First Nation will take you on a bear watching experience in Toba Inlet located just 30 minutes by boat from the Klahoose Wilderness Resort. Hear you will view Grizzly Bears as they feed on the returning salmon from fixed viewing platforms set along a remote river in Toba Inlet.
Day 14
Klahoose Wilderness Lodge
Relax in the pristine wilderness of Desolation Sound. Be immersed in the ways of the Indigenous Klahoose People with activities such as Indigenous storytelling, cedar weaving, wood carving and ocean foraging. Sea kayakers, stand-up paddle boarders and intrepid swimmers can take to the glassy waters of the Homfray Channel.
Day 15
Klahoose Wilderness Lodge
Throughout your time at the lodge, delicious meals are served at the resort, masterfully fusing local ingredients with exquisite preparation. Dinners include complimentary house wine and beer, and Canapes are also served during Happy Hour.
Day 16-17
Parksville
After breakfast, enjoy a final morning at the resort before your boat transfer to Lund. Continue to Parksville on Vancouver Island, known for its expansive sandy beaches and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy long walks across the tidal flats of Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park as well as local markets, nearby coastal towns & forest walks.
Day 18
Fly Home
Spend the morning making your way back to the mainland to drop your car at Vancouver Airport for your flight home.
